Suprajit Engineering slides after Q4 PAT drops 16% YoY to Rs 41 cr

Revenue from operations jumped 38.17% to Rs 699 crore in Q4 FY23 as against Rs 505.91 crore posted in corresponding quarter last year.

Profit before tax slipped 10.62% year on year to Rs 58.09 crore in Q4 FY23.

Total expense jumped 44.4% to Rs 646.50 crore in Q4 FY23 as compared with Rs 447.71 crore in Q4 FY22. Cost of material consumed was at Rs 344.92 crore( up 27.11% YoY), employee benefit expense stood at Rs 148.39 crore (up 75.78% YoY).

On full year basis, the company's consolidated net profit declined 12.12% to Rs 152.10 crore despite of 49.55% jump in revenue from operations to Rs 2,752.35 crore in FY23 over FY22.

Meanwhile, the board recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.25 per equity share for financial year 2022-23.

Suprajit Engineering is engaged in the business of manufacturing of auto components consisting mainly of control cables, speedo cables, auto lamps and other components for automobiles and caters to both domestic and international markets.
