Bajaj Hindusthan climbs after Q4 PAT soars 119% YoY to Rs 131 cr

Revenue from operations was at Rs 2053.87 crore in Q4 FY23, registering a growth of 26.65% from Rs 1621.67 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter previous year.

Profit before tax surged 128.47% to Rs 127.35 crore in the fourth quarter of FY23 as against Rs 55.74 crore reported in Q4 FY22.

Total expenses rose 22.31% year on year to Rs 1,931.75 crore during the quarter.

The company's revenue from Sugar stood at Rs 2,392.75 crore (up 31.86% YoY), Distillery revenue was at Rs 337.61 crore (up 0.08% YoY) and revenue from Power came in at Rs 514.13 crore (up 15.65% YoY) during the period under review.

For the full year, the firm's consolidated net loss narrowed to Rs 134.73 crore in FY23 as compared to Rs 267.54 crore posted in FY22. Revenue rose 13.67% year on year to Rs 6338.03 crore in FY23.

Bajaj Hindusthan Sugar is engaged in the manufacture of sugar, alcohol and generation of power.
