SML Isuzu hits 52-week high on turnaround Q4 performance

Revenue from operations surged 70.36% year on year to Rs 583.22 crore in the quarter ended 31 March 2023.

The company posted a profit before tax of Rs 25.07 crore during the quarter as compared with a pre-tax loss of Rs 11.41 crore in the corresponding quarter previous year.

Total expenses spiked 57.84% YoY to Rs 559.79 crore in the quarter ended March 2023. Cost of materials consumed was Rs 437.93 crore (up 80.26% YoY) while employee benefits expense stood at Rs 47.12 crore (up 51.46% YoY) during the period under review.

For the full year, the vehicle manufacturer reported net profit of Rs 19.83 crore in FY23 as against net loss of Rs 99.76 crore in FY22. Revenue from operations soared 97.1% YoY to Rs 1,821.59 crore in the financial year ended 31 March 2023.

SML Isuzu is engaged in the business of manufacture of commercial vehicles and spares. The firm produces light and medium commercial vehicles.

The scrip hit a 52-week high of Rs 1,125 in today's intraday session.
